To quench our thirst for physical connection, whilst still providing the option to dial in from home, the 2021 Dietitians Australia Conference will be held in a hybrid fashion.

In addition to the interactive robust workshops on day one, there are three main events. An inspirational line up of speakers for the emerging dietitian’s plenary, a panel of experts debating the topic of 'what will we be eating in 2050?', and a carnival themed welcome reception full of colour, a drag queen and food!

Day two will begin with an entertaining opening ceremony followed by an enticing lecture in honour, which will be left as a surprise. The call to transform oneself will be echoing in the halls of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) as the speakers detail their experience in adapting to and managing in disasters. For some fun, the conference dinner that evening will be themed around the world as we commemorate our diverse community.

To reinvent oneself is to appear entirely new. In keeping with this conference theme, Dietitians Australia is pleased to showcase the new conference format which will see two plenary sessions hosted on day three. In the morning, speakers will walk us through how they paved the way for a new and better norm for themselves with practical tips for us to learn how to reinvent in our own environments. Leading into our final plenary for the conference in the afternoon, which will be a celebration of our diversity. With thought-provoking speakers, this session is aimed at guiding us all into reflecting on how we approach diversity in our colleagues, clients, leadership, and everyday life.

What’s possible when you transform? What’s possible when you reinvent yourself? And what’s possible when we embrace living and working in a such a diverse community? We hope to see you all in Melbourne in 2021.
