More patients are interested in whether medicinal cannabis is right for them. Doctors and pharmacists need to be able to give patients the best advice. I know a bit about cannabis but how do I get better informed?
The International College of Cannabinoid Medicine (ICCM) and the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) is pleased to present a one-day interactive and practical learning experience for medical practitioners and pharmacists focused on medicinal cannabis. An overview of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) and cannabis is provided as pre-seminar learning. At the seminar, you will learn about: the minor phytocannabinoids and terpenes, new and upcoming medicinal cannabis products, how to prescribe when you’re starting out, how those in the Emerald Triangle (US) have categorised cannabis flower according to aroma and how science backs this up, how patients can improve their ECS with nutraceuticals, what’s happening in the hemp and cannabis industries, and how you might become involved in this growing area of healthcare. We also have some fun and practical group activities throughout the day including learning how a vaping device works, stepping into the shoes of a Ganjier (cannabis sommelier) and testing your knowledge with Cannabis Product Trivia.
Who is this Seminar For? This seminar is for doctors and pharmacists; you may know nothing about cannabis or be more knowledgeable but you want to learn more. This event is capped at 50 participants.
